1. General disclaimer

PlannedReady is an organizational and family-coordination tool. It is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, or tax advice. Documents you store or plans you create with PlannedReady do not, by themselves, constitute legally binding instruments (such as a will or power of attorney). Consult the appropriate licensed professional for advice specific to your situation and jurisdiction.

2. Emergency features are not emergency services

PlannedReady's Emergency Mode, Tap-In, and notifications are convenience features to help you reach your Trusted Circle. They are not a replacement for emergency services. In a real emergency, always contact your local emergency number (for example, 911) first. We do not guarantee message delivery, location accuracy, or response times.

3. Privacy commitment

Your family's information is yours. Our commitments:

We do not sell your data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, ever.
Local-first by design. Your most sensitive records are encrypted on your device; the app and any servers hold only encrypted data — never the keys or plaintext.
You control sharing. Per-field controls decide exactly what each member of your Trusted Circle can see.
Minimal collection. We collect only what is needed to operate the service.

4. Security & the Keystone device

PlannedReady uses strong, authenticated encryption and, with the optional Keystone hardware device, a cold-storage security model in which your master key is generated inside a secure element and never leaves it. No security system is perfect. You are responsible for safeguarding your PIN, passphrase, and recovery shares. If you lose your PIN and your recovery shares, your encrypted data may be permanently unrecoverable — that is the trade-off of true privacy.

5. Terms of service (summary)

Use PlannedReady lawfully and only for your own family-preparedness purposes.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you store and for keeping your credentials safe.
The service is provided "as is," without warranties; to the extent permitted by law, PlannedReady is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Subscriptions (where offered) renew until cancelled; you can cancel anytime through your app store or account settings.
We may update these terms; material changes will be communicated in-app or by email.

6. Legacy Companion (AI)

Legacy Companion provides AI-generated suggestions and drafts to help you prepare. Its output may be incomplete or inaccurate and is not professional advice. Always review and edit AI-generated content before relying on it.
